Allum 2025

Suspended installation developed for the central atrium Allum, Partille

Commission: Steen & Strøm
Photography: Traian Cimpeanu

The work is inspired by Partille’s industrial history and the story of the dye works that once caused the waters of the Säveån river to shift in colour. Levanten’s dye works was located where Partille Upper Secondary School stands today. When the factory was in operation, the water could turn red, blue, or other strong shades.

Inspired by the history of the Säveån river, the suspended, drop-like forms in reflective metal respond to and are coloured by the surrounding light and colours of the space.
